| Welcome. |
Welcome to the Atheist Network. The Atheist Network has been around for more than 7 years. Originally created by Jake (www.afterfaith.com) and The Infidel guy (www.infidelguy.com), it has a large, tight knit and thriving atheist community, that never plays soft and never apologizes for it. The Atheist Network was created with the idea that only through HONEST exchange of ideas and information can we all break free of theistic influences. It's not a bashing board nor is it a brainiac board but rather a community of atheists as diverse as nature itself. We welcome all atheists to come and join the fun.
We are currently revamping our audio feed and we are currently looking for new content to play. We are putting the call out to all atheists who are in bands, are poets, have songs of their own, have been in live recorded debates, like to create audio plays, or would like to create a show of their own.
If you have some content that you would like to share with the world, please contact us at radio _at_ atheistnetwork _dot_ com. If you would like to join an atheist community where honesty is key, then this is the place for you.

The road to Fort Ashby, West Virginia, runs through Mineral County, an area of freezing grey farmland and barrack-style bungalows, where the sign outside the bar - "Hunters welcome" - has an unnerving effect on the passing non-hunter. In Cindy's coffee shop, customers speculate on the whereabouts of a lost cow and tell a weird Republican joke about the noise a chicken makes when its head is cut off: "Barack-Obama!, Barack-Obama!" In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in Washington, the plaintiffs demand that the words "so help me God" not be added to the end of the president's oath of office.
In addition, the lawsuit objects to plans for ministers to deliver an invocation and a b...

A REGISTRAR who claimed she was bullied and threatened with the sack for not performing gay marriages has today had her landmark win against Islington Council overturned.
Lillian Ladele had been in line for thousands of pounds in compensation after being threatened with the sack from her job of nearly 16 years for refusing to conduct "sinful" civil partnerships.
A tribunal had upheld her cries of discrimination, harassment and victimisation on the grounds of religion or belief ...

The leader of the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales has blamed the credit crunch for a "breakdown" in the trust felt by society.
Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor spoke in London at what was expected to be his final Christmas Midnight Mass as Archbishop of Westminster.
He said market economies must have an underlying moral purpose.
Earlier, the Archbishop of Canterbury urged people to look after each other during the economic downturn.
In his homily at West...

The credit crunch has helped to change the attitude of some parents towards Christmas, a poll for The Times suggests. They have increasingly come to believe that undisciplined consumption, often a feature of the festive season, can damage the environment and that they should take into account ethical sourcing and sustainability when choosing presents.
The Populus survey of ethically and environmentally aware parents - concerned consumers - also found a slight reversal of the trend t...
